The 2.5 km climb to the summit is a floodlit, car-free, well paved road with spectacular views and great climbing.

Mt Keira Cycle Climb Challenge

Mount Keira Cycle Climb Challenge is a leg burning 6.5k road uphill climb from the base to the summit.

Perfect for the recreational cyclist to those out to test their climbing legs, all will enjoy the traffic free, and professionally organised event. With Cycling NSW Sanctioning, electronic timing, refreshments and prizes, and on mostly newly laid road surface, its your chance to experience a real climb in a safe and fun event.

Located only 80km south of Sydney, Mount Keira overlooks the spectacular Illawarra coastline and is a short 5km from the city, cafes and beaches of Wollongong.

Great Cycle Challenge Australia

Great Cycle Challenge encourages people of all ages and fitness levels to get on their bikes this October and ride to fight kids’ cancer!

The idea is simple, you set yourself a personal target of kilometres and pedal throughout October to achieve your goal.

Your target could be 10km or 10,000km and you can ride for a week, a fortnight or the entire month – it’s up to you.

As part of your registration, you’ll get a FREE APP to log your kilometres and you can track your progress online against friends, colleagues and other riders across Australia.

Anyone can take part from any location across the country and you can ride by yourself or create a team with your friends, cycling club or workplace.

You can log your kilometres outdoors or take on the Spin Bike Challenge.

Spring Cycle

Sydney’s Spring Cycle ride offers three distances for your to cycle along and enjoy the magnificent sights of Sydney, including riding across the Sydney Harbour Bridge!

Take the 100km challenge and clock up 50kms riding across the Sydney Harbour Bridge, past the Sydney Opera House and traversing the diverse Inner West before taking your challenge out to Western Sydney Parklands via picturesque Parramatta and Prospect Dam. Return for your festival finish and cycling expo at Sydney Olympic Park.

If the 50km route is more your thing, you\’ll get to enjoy the best bits of the 12km Sydney City Ride including riding over the spectacular Harbour Bridge, past the Opera House and historic Rocks area, before exploring the diverse Inner West and venturing out to Sydney Olympic Park for a festival finish and cycling expo.

The 12km cycle ride is ideal for families and novice riders who want to experience the thrill of riding over the Sydney Harbour Bridge and past some of Sydney’s most iconic landmarks including the Sydney Opera House and historic Rocks area. Celebrate your Spring Cycle success with a festival finish at Pirrama Park, Pyrmont.

Bowral Classic

The event will start on the main street of Bowral, with three courses on offer catering for every cycling level and a range of categories to enter.

Peaks Challenge Cradle Mountain

The Peaks Challenge series expands into Tasmania for the first time, presenting you with 13 hours to prove yourself in the Peaks Challenge Cradle Mountain.

Starting and finishing on the Devonport foreshore, the 235 kilometre circuit takes you to the heart of Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park as you tackle the ascents of Union Bridge, Echo Valley, Cethana Road, Cradle Mountain and Spellmans Road.

Complete en-route support including food and clothing valet is available to help you conquer the challenging course.

Brooks Forster Running Festival

The Brooks Forster Running Festival is a 21km, 10km, 5km, 4km or 2km fun run held in Forster NSW, with one lucky competitor set to be randomly selected to win $5,000 cash!

Located in beautiful Forster-Tuncurry approximately 2 hours north of Newcastle and 3.5 hours north of Sydney. This family friendly event with a distance to suit everyone will ensure you experience an awesome weekend away surrounded by the pristine waters of the Wallis Lake.

Run with the ocean and lake beside you at all times as you make your way over the Forster-Tuncurry bridge, covering the twin towns break wall’s paths and trails. The course is 99% flat course with only one slight rise.

Blackmores Sydney Running Festival

The Blackmores Sydney Running Festival features marathon, half marathon, 9km and 3.5km events – each course crossing the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

The popularity of the Marathon has attracted both international and local elite athletes and as a result the Sydney Marathon has achieved a Gold Label rating.

In addition to the Marathon, the Sydney Running Festival also offers a Half Marathon, 9k Bridge Run, and a 3.5k Family Fun Run. With all four events crossing the Sydney Harbour Bridge, it is by far the only time to uniquely explore the extraordinary scenic views of Sydney.

Starting at Bradfield Park in Milson’s Point, depending on the distance, runners travel over the main deck of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, finishing at the Conservatorium of Music, the entrance of the Royal Botanic Gardens.

Sydney Trail Series – September

The Botany Bay round of the Sydney Trail Series features the most scenic of all of the courses in the series.

Starting and finishing on Botany Bay at Kurnell, runners enjoy a variety of cliff top and ocean side trails, as they wind their way down the coast and back again.

There will be water stops along the way however Sydney Trail Series has a NO CUP policy!!! This is an environmental choice.

Western Sydney Marathon

The Western Sydney Marathon is a running festival offering marathon, half marathon, 10km and 5km options along a course at Penrith’s International Regatta Centre.

It is one of the most affordable marathon events on the running calendar making it an attractive option for the experienced or entry level athlete.

Located in Penrith, the marathon is held at the Sydney International Regatta Centre boasting views across the Penrith Lakes, the nearby Blue Mountains and surrounding parkland.

The course is flat and fast, navigating the main lake, crossing the island bridges to the Regatta Centre and weaving around roads within and outside of the venue.

RBC Race for the Kids

The RBC Race for the Kids fun run is a 5km fun run around Sydney’s Centennial Park to help raise funds for the Starlight Children’s Foundation.

Whether you want to run, skip, jog or even walk with your dog, come along and take part in the RBC Race for the Kids fun 5km course around Centennial Park and raise much needed funds for the Starlight Children’s Foundation.

When the race is finished, collect your amazing RBC Race for the Kids goody bag then kick back and enjoy our finish line festival with sports stars, face painting, Captain Starlights and a pop-up Starlight Express Room with arts and crafts, BBQ, jumping castles, a petting zoo and more.

Your entry fee goes directly to Starlight – an adult entry fee of $39 means Starlight will be able to brighten the hospital experience for one child from your entry fee alone, before you have even started fundraising.

Sydney Trail Series

The October round of the Sydney Trail Series offers distance options of 10k, 12k and 21k.

This course features a scenic start finish area on the shores of the dam, plus a mix of technical single trails, waterfalls, fire trails, and lovey dam views.

The 20km course offers some very nice harbour views! Cool down with a dip in the dam after your run!

Ironman 70.3 World Championship

In 2016, the Ironman 70.3 World Championships converge on Queensland’s Mooloolaba where more than 3,000 of the world’s fastest triathletes will race on the Ironman 70.3 Sunshine Coast course.

Ironman 70.3 Sunshine Coast is a long course triathlon (1.9km swim, 90km cycle, 21.1km run) located in Mooloolaba.

Tri Hawks Nest

Nepean Triathlon

The Nepean Triathlon, Australia’s oldest triathlon, began in 1982 and consists of a 1km swim, 30km cycle and 10km run.

The list of race winners reads like a who’s who of triathlon in Australia. This is a race with a rich history and continues to attract a competitive field each year.

The 1km swim course takes place within the flat waters of the Sydney International Regatta Centre.

The 30km non-drafting cycle leg follows the relatively flat roads around Penrith, while the 10km run course consists of two anti-clockwise laps of the Regatta centre.

Huskisson Triathlon Festival

The Huskisson Triathlon Festival features an Olympic distance triathlon and shorter distances in the idyllic coastal location of Huskisson on Jervis Bay.

The Olympic distance triathlon features a two lap swim course within the protected waters of Jervis Bay, followed by a two lap cycle leg, and a two lap scenic run.

A full program of racing will fill the streets and beach at Husky with Standard, Sprint, Enforcer & Enticer Triathlons.

Noosa Triathlon

The Noosa Triathlon is one of Australia’s longest running and prestigious triathlons, attracting a quality field each year to Queensland’s beautiful Sunshine Coast.

The first ever Noosa Triathlon was held in 1983 and attracted only 180 competitors. The triathlon has since grown into a first class international multi sport and entertainment event.

The Noosa Triathlon Multi Sport Festival is an annual five-day hallmark event, celebrating sports participation, healthy lifestyles, fitness and fun.
